The village

Tamraght, between the sea and tradition

Tamraght is a small Berber village on Morocco’s Atlantic coast, a few kilometres north of Agadir and just before Taghazout. For generations it was a community of fishermen and farmers, surrounded by hills of banana trees and argan trees that still shape its landscape today.

With the arrival of surfing, its narrow streets and colourful homes filled with travellers, but the village has kept its calm and authentic atmosphere. Here, the slow rhythm of local life, oceanfront cafés and some of the region’s most consistent waves, such as Devil’s Rock and Banana Point, come together.
