Imsouane, the village of long waves
Imsouane is a small fishing village between Agadir and Essaouira, where the dry High Atlas mountains meet the Atlantic Ocean. Simple homes, a harbour filled with blue boats and cliffs surrounding the bay create a peaceful, authentic landscape.
Its main attraction is The Bay, a wind-protected right-hander that can run for hundreds of metres and is considered one of Africa’s longest waves. It is ideal for beginners and longboard lovers, while The Cathedral offers more powerful conditions for experienced surfers.
